My Vision
As a sibling of a special needs brother, I wanted to bring a more diverse perspective to this important community. Although the special needs community has been brought into light in recent years, I feel as though it could represent more people and their unique conditions. After finding out I have a special needs brother, the first question people ask me “is he Autistic?” Trying to describe my brother’s condition to others is extremely challenging as they have no idea what to imagine. That’s why I would love to raise awareness about different conditions that special needs kids have and what their siblings have to experience.
